We raised over a One Million Dollars to support 4-H and FFA Ag Education project raised in San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Bentio County.

Auction Check Pick-up, July 20, 8:30-5:30

All auction checks will be released to the adult leader identified on the Leader Form on July 20, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Pick-up will be in the Fair’s Entry Office. Masks are required to enter the office.

Checks are grouped by club/chapter and species. Some club clubs/chapter may have more than one packet.

Please complete the fair’s leader form to update adults authorized to pick-up checks. Or the authorized leader must send an email to to identify the person authorized for pick up.

Packets will include seller’s checks; photo frames for thank you cards to sellers; and ribbons won by sellers that participated in the virtual show.

Other awards (bags and buckles) will be distributed to individuals on another yet to be announced date. Please be aware that our 2020 awards budget was reduced. Fewer awards will be given for the titles won by our youth in the Virtual Show. Any concerns about awards (lack of award, quality of award) please contact Fair CEO TJ Plew 831-385-3243.

Online Auction Commission, Fees, Statistics

  • All lots will be sold by the head.
  • For market animals there will be no live pick-up or custom harvest. All sales are resale only! The majority of your purchase may be tax deductible as a donation to the Salinas Valley Fair, Inc.
  • Our goal is to sell all 614 lots at the estimated break even price per species.

  • A 5% commission will be charged to the seller for both the sale and add-on. Commission will cover 2% paid to the online auction company and 3% to the Salinas Valley Fair to help cover most of the costs to administer the auction.
  • Sellers of Market Beef, Swine and Sheep will be charged fees required by livestock marketing councils. Fees are posted in the Exhibitor handbook on page 60.
