Livestock Trailer Reservations - FULL

Each year we reserve a limited number of on-site RV Spaces for RV/Trailer camping exclusively for Livestock Exhibitors. Camping onsite is provided for out of area participants. Fees are managed so that they are not more than local hotels or RV Parks. Reservations are administered on a first come basis beginning January 30, 8:00 AM. To reserve a space, the Livestock Trailer Reservation Form must be completed and turned in with a $300 payment.
New Parking & Load-in Procedures! In prior years, RVs have parked on the streets and fairgrounds for up to 3 days prior to entering the RV Park. These vehicles parked on-site (and on the streets) disrupted staff ability to manage set-up prior to fair. The practice of staging RVs near the fairgrounds prior to the load-in date will no longer be acceptable so that we can ensure timely and safe set-up of the fair.
The fair is implementing a lottery system to distribute RV parking reservation times. Upon submission of an RV Reservation form, a camper will draw for a group time. There will be four groups (A,B,C,D). Each group will be assigned a time to enter the RV Park, in much the same way that Southwest manages seating for flights. It is our intention to park individuals quickly on Saturday morning while no longer allowing parking prior to your scheduled reservation date/time on San Lorenzo Street and inside the fairgrounds.

2020 Competition Rule Change

  • FFA Chapters, 4-H Clubs and Junior Exhibitors located within Santa Clara County, Gilroy High School District, Morgan Hill High School District, Coalinga High School District and Coast Union High School District are NOT eligible to participate in the Salinas Valley Fair Junior Livestock Show.
  • Rabbit Meat Pen Competition is only open to exhibitors from Santa Cruz County, San Benito County and Monterey County.
  • Livestock entries are to be submitted ONLINE ONLY due Wednesday, April 1st at 11:59 PM. No late entries will be accepted.

Participation Eligibility

The Salinas Valley Fair Junior Livestock Show welcomes all eligible youth residents of Monterey County to participate in the annual fair competition. Eligibility and participation requirements are updated each year. You may refer to the 2020 local rules scheduled to be published December 1st for reference. All State Rules will be adhered to at the Salinas Valley Fair.

Participation for youth of San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties is limited based on local rules and area limits explained in the Junior Livestock Rules.

The Salinas Valley Fair currently allows for three ways to submit your entry forms:

  1. Enter online on or before the deadline. Online entry payments may only be made by credit card. Salinas Valley Fair accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.
  2. Mail entries, postmarked on or before, the deadline to Salinas Valley Fair, 625 Division Street, King City, CA 93930
  3. Hand deliver entries on or before, the deadline, to Salinas Valley Fair, 625 Division Street, King City, CA.

Paper entry forms must include payment by check or money order. Online entries are not considered complete unless payment is made.
