"Barnyard May-Ham" May 18-21, 2023

Hello Salinas Valley Fair Friends and Family!

We are so excited to celebrate the 79th Annual Salinas Valley Fair May 18-21. This year, our theme is “Barnyard May-Ham,” and we have your favorite activities. The Fair will once again be filled with all of your favorite things exhibitions like 4-H and FFA Livestock, cookies, photos and so much more. Swing into our exhibition buildings or Barns and see what our talented exhibitors are up to.

Alongside all of our exhibits, we bring a full week of family-friendly activities and entertainment. Bring the whole family, young and old, for Kids’ Holaday on Thursday, Seniors Day on Friday and Armed Forces Day on Saturday. Each day in the Stampede Arena, we will feature new and exciting entertainment options along with our Kids Zone and Commercial area. And…before you leave, don’t forget to enjoy any of our traditional fair foods – like corn dogs, cotton candy, funnel cake or a giant cinnamon roll.

Thank you for your continued support of the Salinas Valley Fair. We are truly grateful for all of our exhibitors, sponsors and supporters and look forward to seeing you at this year’s Salinas Valley Fair.

CEO

Our President's Welcome

It's an honor to serve on the Salinas Valley Fair Board of Directors as your 2023 President.

Salinas Valley Fair is celebrating its 79th Fair with a little "Barnyard May-Ham." The 2023 theme fits perfect for what we have in store May 18-21. The Fair will again offer an exciting entertainment lineup with some of our favorites from Tucker Petting Zoo, Happy Day Pony Rides, Trackless Train sponsored by American Supply, and Junior Livestock Exhibits.

The Longbranch Saloon will be featuring Joe Peters, Gotcha Covered, and Lipstick Revolver. Our Steinbeck Stage is filled with great entertainment like Violin on Fire, Pro Wrestling, and one of my favorite shows, "Outlaw Mariachi" on Saturday evening, as well as a new line up for Sunday's bands!

Butler's Amusements is brining some Fair Time thrillers and carnival rides for all ages. Buy your carnival wristbands in advance to save. Enjoy the "Fair Food Favorites," such as: corn dogs, cinnamon rolls, and a giant block of curly fries. Bring your family and friends to enjoy four days of fun at the Fair.

THANK YOU to the Fair's Board of Directors, the Fair's great staff, and all of our volunteers. On behalf of the Fair and its Board of Directors, thank YOU for your continued support - get ready to celebrate a little "Barnyard May-Ham" May 18-21!

Theme By: James Hinkle

James is this year’s Fair Theme Contest Winner! He is 16 and a Sophomore at Palma High School. He has been an active member of King City Rural 4H since he was 9, and now serves as the club president. James got his inspiration for “Barnyard May-Ham” from the fair animals for the "ham" part and chose "May" because of the month Fair is held. His favorite thing about the Fair is hanging out with his friends and the Old West Cinnamon Rolls!
